Dear Woke Christian,

I did a video on the YT channel showing a lady mistreating the passage in Mattehw 5 known as the beatitudes. She reframed them as some kind of confession and called them “The Beatitudes of BLM“. Gross!

While reading today I ran across a diffent take on the Beatitudes. Though it’s not a true word for word interpritation, it does give some insight that helps open the Beatitudes up to make much of Chirst. Check it out. This was by William Tyndale. To see inwardly that the law of God is so spiritual, that no flesh can fulfil it: and then for to mourn and sorrow, and to desire, yea, hunger and thirst after strength to do the will of God from the ground of the heart, and (notwithstanding all the subtilty of the devil, weakness and feebleness of the flesh, and wondering of the world,) to cleave yet to the promises of God, and to believe that for Christ’s blood sake thou art received to the inheritance of eternal life, is a wonderful thing, an da thing that the world knoweth not of; but whosoever feeleth that, though he fall a thousand time in a day, doth yet rise again a thousand times, and is sure that he mercy of God is upon him.

So my question to you, brother and sister is how do you read God’s Word? Do you twist it and defile it to prop up something that God didn’t tell you to do? Or do you attempt to find the Hidden Gem in each passage?
