Dear Woke Christian,

I realize that you may or may not even know about “liberation theology”. It would be a religious forerunner to CT which is of course is a forefunner to CRT. Well, I ran across this video and this guy nails it. Since he supports LT he does a great job of pointing out it’s “merits”. If you listen to this 3 min video you’ll probably see the areas of conflict this teaching has with the Bible. That’s my point in sharing this. LT and it’s offshoots fly right in the face of biblical teaching. They’re not found in, they have to be read into the Bible.

In this short insightful video did you notice that they man gave no scripture for his claims and it would be very easy to agree with this idea without looking at scripture.

In Matthew 26:11 Jesus said that we’d always have the poor with us. The powerful point is that He said this to someone who complained that the perfume the woman annointed Him with could’ve been spent on the poor. So the idea that God is seeking to do eradicate poverty isn’t supported by scripture.

Leviticus 19:14-16 says something very interesting about the “God of the marginalized” idea. “You shall do no injustice in court. You shall not be partial to the poor or defer to the great, but in righteousness shall you judge your neighbor.” And just incase you think this is just OT, Paul makes a very bold statement about supporting those who can work, but won’t in 2 Thessalonians 3:9-11.

Please hear me, it is good to help and support those who do not have. Keep in mind Jesus helped us in providing us Salvation that we could’ve never acheieved. The eradication of poverty isn’t the goal. Think about it, would Christ have had to die for liberation theology to be true? What did Christ add to this guys 3 minute explaination. Nothing.
